SLB LAW advises Silvateam S.p.A. with Deloitte Legal on the acquisition of wet-green GmbH

Silvateam S.p.A., an international leader in the field of vegetable tanning agents, has acquired a majority stake in wet-green GmbH from MB-Holding GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the Martin Bauer Group. The Italian company Silvateam was advised by Deloitte Legal Italy and on all matters relating to the German legal market by SLB LAW.
Wet-green GmbH, based in Reutlingen, specialises in the production of innovative, environmentally friendly solutions for tanning leather. The company is a pioneer of the patented wet-green®-technology for Olivenleder®. The world-leading company Silvateam S.p.A. brings more than 170 years of experience in the production of vegetable tanning agents and is a leader in leather innovation with its Ecotan® brand. The acquisition of wet-green GmbH is a strategic investment in sustainable innovation in the leather tanning industry. The combined use of Ecotan® and Olivenleder® makes it possible to establish strong ecological credibility and strengthen the market offering. At the same time, production capacity is optimised.
