As a specialist in labour law, one of the areas of particular focus of my work as a lawyer is the provision of comprehensive advice to and representation of employers. In particular, I advise on issues such as the drafting and termination of employment contracts, litigation at all labour courts, and also in the area of co-determination and works constitution law. Likewise, I advise on collective bargaining law and the negotiation of company and restructuring collective bargaining agreements.
Frequently, I am also called upon to advise on complex restructuring projects and M&A transactions, including due diligence. In such cases, in addition to the strategic planning and co-design of the project, I am also responsible for negotiations with works councils (works agreements, reconciliation of interests and social plan proceedings, including conciliation committee proceedings) and the subsequent implementation and handling of all measures under employment law.
Other topics I often deal with are transfer of business, outsourcing, company pension schemes / pension commitments, employee secondment, employee participation programs or also issues from insolvency labor law. I also advise in the area of social security law in the context of status determination proceedings and here in particular on the legally secure drafting of contracts and personnel deployment concepts.
Another focus of my work is advising and representing
executives, managing directors and board members in agreements with their companies, conducting complex severance negotiations, reviewing non-competition clauses and enforcing claims for compensation for waiting time.
Likewise, as a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law, I advise on contractual agreements with executive bodies (managing directors, board members, supervisory and advisory boards), the formation of partnerships (OHG, KG, GmbH & Co. KG) as well as corporations (in particular the GmbH sector), as well as in the area of reorganization law (mergers, demergers, changes of legal form) and shareholder disputes.
